The 11th edition of Gwangju Biennale is officially opened on 1st September 2016. This year’s title, “The Eighth Climate (What Does Art Do?),” is that beyond the physical realm lies an “eighth climate” that one can reach through the power of imagination. We are delighted to be present at the opening of Gwangju Biennale and to show our support for Annie Wan Lai-kuen whose work ‘Every Day A Rainbow’ consists of a kiosk located outside the exhibition hall.  She stayed in the shopping area of Gwangju for several weeks to do shopping and was astonished by the vibrant colours used widely in the everyday commodities. The colourful packaging is reminiscent of the rainbow colours which embodies a cliché of what an ideal life is.
