The majority of my works are inspired by traditional Chinese philosophical thinking and contemporary expression. Often my paintings focus on an immense range of tranquil atmosphere and the meditating mood.
In the last 15 years I have developed an effective technique based n Chinese rice paper and ink, which are the major materials in most of my works. I paint on different layers on rice paper with ink and colour, and then finish the painting with acrylic and mixed medium on canvas to incorporate a sense of depth.
My intention is to give all elements equal details. Within my paintings, I enter into the realm of imagination of joy and freedom where man and nature meet in harmony.
