In the digital age where gameboys and PSPs abound, the artist is making an effort to recall his favourite pastime. "I like to bring back childhood memories to adult viewers", quotes the artist. The works are sentimental portraits of childhood relics and there are chupa chups, legos, jewel cakes and pez to please the young ones and the young-at-heart. Instead of portraying them as realistic as possible, the artist has painted these objects in isolation to evoke a sense of displacement and nostalgia. As memory is a reconstruction, so are his paintings. Every piece is a fresh attempt to rekindle the past with the present.
