Gestural, bravura oil paintings manifest the inner expression of an artist. In my work,
I would like express more than an external narrative and present internal, spiritual meaning. Memory plays an important role in my work. This body of work represents my voyage over past years in New York, which has spread its root into the very depths of my heart. During painting process, I discover unplanned experiences in the spontaneous act of painterly painting. This expands my vision and makes me feel that the paintings themselves taken on a life of their own. I search for the real – a true experience. This search encourages me to keep going, inventing and its results continually surprise me. This is what my painting is about, and this is why I paint.
