CLOSE
Born in 1964 in Jinan, Shandong Province in China, Wang Gang has been living and working in Paris since 1996. He is a member of La Maison des Artistes de France. His portraits evoke a feeling of otherworldliness, often daydreaming or contemplating. No matter whether the person is looking at himself in the mirror, sipping tea or on a wing, he is imbued with inner peace which could be representation of the artist himself. Working in oil, the artist achieves an almost patina like finish on the surface of the canvas.
