There is a small shrine near my house, an unknown place that sees almost no visitors. An elderly woman tends to it alone, cleaning it daily and offering a fresh bouquet of flowers every ten days. I adore those flowers; though small, they are incredibly beautiful, and I can sense her devout prayers and heartfelt intentions. The flowers serve as a motif in my work. I paint while I pray, and they symbolize my hopes for the happiness of all beings.
