Tobe Kan Kiu Sin Hong Kong

Currently lives and works in HK
 
In recent years, Tobe has taken to wandering around specific places in the city, observing various forms of vegetation that coexist with humans in daily life. Her current practice explores themes of liminality and impermanence, examines the condition of insecurity in relation to feelings of alienation or being forgotten, and explores concepts of ‘existence’ and ‘distance.’ Her work intends to reveal the uncanny and mysterious feelings of hovering between asleep and awake, dream and reality. KAN experiments with painting, drawing, and installation.
