My work does not depict realistic landscapes, the concept of space expressed is symbolic, in line with traditional Chinese painting, and expresses poetic imagery. My composition is inspired by the concept of multi-perspectives. My process of mark-making is inspired by western abstract painting. Brushstrokes and scratches, the interlacing of positive and negative spaces, generate visual textures and colour layers,. Scattered, overlapped and intertwined fragments form layers of fine visual textures. The image of fragments is a dynamic association of changing visual rhythms, which describe the ever-changing atmosphere in my recent work.
