Info
Using dishcloths as the primary medium of creation, I dye and embroider them to depict the remnants of leftover food, thus recreating traces of life and habits in the home. “What did we eat yesterday?” A simple glance at the dishcloth reveals the answer. It may seem a bit unclean or unsanitary, but it doesn’t matter; no one will know. Not every home is as tidy and perfect as a furniture store display. Perhaps there are hidden corners that aren’t entirely sanitary, or maybe there’s a mountain of clutter. The joys and sorrows of a home are not universal. In an imperfect home, there’s no need for pretense or worry about appearances. Just be your true self.
