Knowless: The Query

Drifting between Dreams and Reality

“Knowless: The Query” is an exhibition of a new series of artworks by comic artist Li Chi Tak, in response to Zhuangzi’s “On the Equality of Things”.

Through 11 questions posed by curators GayBird and Vanissa Law, the exhibition juxtaposes Li’s artworks with philosophical questions, bridging contemporary art with ancient wisdom.
As we explore the worldviews of Li Chi Tak and Zhuangzi, the exhibition also explores the relationship of philosophy and arts, paving the way for deeper discussions on the boundary between reality and illusion.

Curated by interdisciplinary artists GayBird and Vanissa Law, “Knowless” bridges contemporary art with Daoist philosophy through the collaboration of painting, sound, movement, installation, and multimedia art. This project allows audiences to understand the process of creation across three phases, witnessing how different art forms respond to philosophical concepts. It explores the dialogue and possibilities between media arts and technology.
