Xue Mo China

Born 1966, Inner Mongolia, China
Live and works in Victoria, Canada

Karin Weber Gallery artist Xue Mo, based in Victoria, Canada, originates from Inner Mongolia where she continues to find inspiration from the landscapes and the strength of her people.

She questions its origin tirelessly: is it the landscapes with their huge stretches of grasslands, mystical mountains and deep winter snows? Or the country’s aggressive and alluring past? Maybe the secret lies simply in the strong Mongolian tea!

“I don’t know” Xue confesses, “but I will keep exploring it in my works, and collect it in my heart as well as my body forever.”
